How Stork Solutions moved from separate spreadsheets to connected customer records, purchasing, stock and a shared dispatch workflow.
Stork Solutions supplies pressure sensors and transmitters, indicators, controllers, data loggers and telemetry equipment. Based in Aldermaston, Berkshire, the business supports customers with technical product selection as well as quotations, orders and delivery. Every person in the business uses Omono as part of their working day.
Before Omono, Stork Solutions relied on a collection of spreadsheets and basic Google Workspace tools. The team wanted a clearer connection between each customer and their history of quotations, orders and invoices, with email capabilities built into the same system.
For a typical order, the team tracks the supplier order and expected delivery date, checks whether parts are in stock and allocated, and follows the work through to packing and dispatch. Quotations, sales orders, purchasing and stock cards are all part of that process. When the order ships, the team can record tracking details; Sam explains that the invoice is then created and sent to the customer automatically.
The workflow gives Stork Solutions a shared view of orders due to ship. The team can spot overdue orders and work that needs attention, including an inspection or engineering review. Open orders, stock availability and dispatch progress are easier to follow, while visibility against budgets and targets helps Sam review how the business is performing.
Sam describes Omono as a fundamental tool for running the business. He says it has played a part in supporting Stork Solutions’ growth and that managing that growth would have been harder without it. For the team, the benefit is having the customer conversation and the work behind an order connected throughout the process.
